Did Christopher Nolan or the science leave us confused? Everybody knows this thing was undoubtedly a masterpiece, which contains some mind-bending concepts and a climax.
According to my point of view, no one could express a perfect interpretation of the concepts that they’ve used in, are violating the solid science. So who am I to reach the perfection? But still, let’s find out something felt different.
“Time is the thing that everyone knows intimately until you ask them to tell about”
Nolan loves to play with the time. Thanks to Einstein’s general relativity we do know that the time and space are connected but, we are imprisoned by time despite we can move around freely in spacial dimensions. The story begins with a plague called ‘The Blight’ which has made the world a dire place to live by decimating the food supply and leading it towards a death by starvation or suffocation.
Well, Modern problems require modern solutions. Here are the plans
Plan A- during the “Endurance” (The special spacecraft) on its voyage, Dr.Brand (NASA Scientist) is attempting to solve the gravity equation which helps to find a habitable place in the Universe, except the Earth.
Plan B – If Dr Brand fails to solve, “Endurance” crew on the voyage will raise the next generation of humanity on a planet they find most habitable
But, for the solution of the equation, Dr.Brand needed some data from the centre of a black hole which were impossible to get at that point.
During the voyage, the team uses a “Wormhole” which is a speculate structure linking disparate points in space-time. Briefly, a shortcut in space-time to reach another galaxy where the three planets with life potential exist.
Meanwhile the crew reaches a region of which has a strong gravity prevents anything, including light and which can dilate the time, called a black hole
The most stunning and mind-blowing part of the whole thing is the Tesseract which a kinda structure that Cooper (Our main man in the crew) find himself after the ejection from his space ship. It’s probably the three-dimensional representation of five-dimensional space. From this kind of place Cooper able to travel to the past and send some info to solve the equation to Murph (Cooper’s daughter who took care of the equation after Dr Brand)
in the type of Morse codes.
With the solution, humans could master the space, time and gravity together and find a habitation near Saturn.
Yeah…Cooper saved the humanity…
but
if I converse this all depended on trust and love?
What would you say?
Once Dr Amelia (Only Female in the crew) states
“Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space, maybe we should trust that even if we can’t understand it yet”
If you were Coop would you leave your children behind?
You have to..
Why?
You are tryna save the humanity. That’s love for his children and the entire mankind. The fifth dimension is defined by love. It’s a physical manifestation of what coop’s love is. He chose the love to guide his thinking on his path from nowhere.
Love conquers all emotions. If Love wasn’t an influence would he make those sacrifices?
This everything is about a father’s promise to his lovely daughter.
We love people who died. We love people far away from different continents and time zones. We love our partner, parents, children and pets, it doesn’t matter when, where or even why, but we do. That’s what this movie telling us. That love surpasses time and space…
We’ve put to an endless journey between stars with love
It’s…Interstellar.
